Traveling - If you are local, driving instructions will be provided. Flying? You can fly into PDX or the small airport in Redmond, OR and we can arrange for pick up.
This workshop is full.
Day 1, April 15 - You will arrive in the afternoon and that evening we will gather for our first meal together. Later that night, we will dream of what we will find in our next day's hunt for the rust.
Day 2, April 16 - Gather your boots, heavy gloves, a hat, a bottle of water and off we go to McCormick's salvage yard. Pam will give a tour of how the yard is organized - really, it is! Then we will let you loose to find your treasures. We'll take a break to eat lunch and then continue on our search before collecting our treasures and returning to home base where we will rust some papers that afternoon. That evening we will attend an art gathering/reception where Pam is showing some of her work.
Day 3, April 17 - Back to McCormick to pick until they close at noon. Then we will continue rusting paper and begin prepping our boards for painting. All meals will be on site, lovingly prepared by our host, Kathie.
Day 4 & 5, April 18-19 - We will continue painting and creating our rusty creations, while Pam shares her techniques and methods of creating her beautiful creations.
Day 6, April 20 - We'll pack up our goodies, mailing rust home to those who are flying and dream of picking another day.
